Hey, with lifts over like 580 you'll need machine work to make sure of clearance. How big you go depends on what you want. If you want it streetable (to me anything short of race gas and having to idle at 1300 is streetable ) If you wanna go REAL big then plan for a solid roller with all the accompanied parts. But for a good running streetable stroker motor i would get a cam similar to the CC306. Hope this helps.......more information on your intended use would be helpful though....through my experience most companies rate their "race only" stuff tooo conservative.

Sounds like you are blowing around in the breeze.

What you "need" is only relevent when the "end goal" is known. What are your goals? From there, you'll get more helpful answers.

Good off-the-shelf cam that'll meet your goals without putting you in too far over your head.

Comp Xtreme 224/230 .378/.389 (lobe lift) 112* LSA

Want more lope, go to a 110* LSA. Good cam with more than enough to meet your goals.
