Big valves in LT1 heads?

Big valves in LT1 heads?
I was hoping to get some opinions (and facts) about adding bigger valves to my heads. I am going to be taking them off soon, and sending them to a machine shop to be dissassembled, cleaned, inspected, put back together with new springs. WHile they are doing that, I was thinking about adding bigger valves.
Currently my heads are:
Iron Stage II Agostino heads
2.02 intake, 1.57 exhaust.
Flow pretty good...
Other Mods:
3200 RPM stall converter
3.73 gears
Future Mods:
Forged 383 (got a good deal!)
solid roller camshaft
11:1 compression
Running with open full length headers (probably)
Questions:
1. Would 2.08 intake and 1.60 fit in the iron heads with a good valve job?
2. According to Desktop Dyno, this would add maybe 20 ft/lbs of torque, and maybe 15 more HP. That equated to about .1 off the predicted quarter mile time.
3. Does this sound right? After all, I have always thought that the bigger the valve, the slower the velocity of air and fuel coming in, thus raising your peak torque in RPM a bit. Basically, making the low end torque suffer. I have never seen a NA engine with this, moslty blowers and turbos... but Desktop Dyno seems to think it is a pretty good idea!!
