block question

i have been searching for this for a while im sure its on here but i guess im not wording it right. anyway i am wondering if there is a difference between an lt1 block and a regular one piece rear main seal block? i know the lt1 is reverse cooled but i wasnt sure if that was just in the heads and the water passages are the same? any info on this would be appreciated.

Two different blocks. You can easily tell the difference by looking at the front of the block.

Besides the obvious difference in the water pump mounting and passages, the LT1 block has "327" cast on all sides.
