not to take anything away from that accomplishment. but the topic makes people think its 'stock'.
It's a stock LT1...you know, the engine, AKA an LT1...5.7 liter....STOCK.

To me stock means showroom floor stock. They don't come from the dealer with nitrous. JMHO.

It's just a misleading title is all. You can read it to say "Stock engine" But most will read it "stock car".

OK, if your engine is internally stock, and you add a procharger, it will be internally stock. What the **** is so hard to understand here? Jesus christ...you guys are like ****ing women.

Oh, and thanks to everyone who didn't bitch and moan and say I have engine mods, since I lie all the time about that and all.

the difference is forced induction. but you are right, im a woman. im jealous because on motor my internally stock LT1 runs 3mph faster and a tenth and a half slower with a .3 slower 60'. thats what it is.

FWIW, back in 1998 my stock motor 1993 mustang went 11.20s@120 w/ a turbo technology street kit. i didnt go around telling everyone it was a bone stock 5 liter.

Uh, NO. Almost everybody else thinks so too.

Since when do bolt ons keep an engine stock? I didn't know the definition of "modded" meant internal mods had to be made.

The car is modded. The drivetrain is modded. The engine has external mods, but those are not engine mods. Engine mods are internal.

well, then ill just keep posting to **** you off since its a public forum. i love the name calling. pretty original

heads and cam bolt on. and if you use ported stock heads then the motor is still stock, right? with a big enough turbo and DFI in a light car i could go 9s with a 'bone stock LT1'. its stock, right?

if youll recall Matt, i said i wasnt posting to take anything away from your accomplishment. that is a great ET for what the car has. but I (as well as others appearantly) beg to differ on your opinion of what a 'bone stock LT1' is.
