Borla w/ DMH Cutout vs. GMMG
Hey guys! I'm a long time reader, 1st time poster. I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed this forum--it's actually quite addicting! I'm an original owner of a 95 TA Convertible with about 80,000 miles. The car is bone stock, however, that's about to change.
My 1st "wave" of mods will be intake/exhaust. I've been doing a lot of searching and I've decided on the following:
1. Lingerfelter CAI
2. Jethot LT Headers w/O2 extensions
3. Hooker Y-Pipe (coated from Jet-Hot)
4. Percy gaskets
5. Stage 8 locking header bolts
6. Catback--a) Borla with DMH cutout or
b) GMMG exhaust w/ dual tips
7. LT4 knock module
8. Taylor 8mm wires & new plugs
9. Pcmforless tune
First off, I was wondering if I'm missing anything. Second, I wanted your opinions on the 2 catbacks. I know there are cheaper / better bang for the buck catbacks like Hooker out there, but I'm pretty sold on the above systems.
My 2nd "wave" will include ported heads, cam (224/230 XE or 230/236 XE), Lifters, Rockers, Rods, LT4 Extreme chain, 3.73 gears. This will be done right after I see how the exhaust turns out (I'll be doing all the work myself--except the gears).
My 3rd question is if I do everything at once, would the header install be any easier. Originally, I was going to do this but I'm affraid of trouble-shooting problems after I get everything hooked up .

first off "noob" you post too many damn question's in one post, just wanted to let you know that's a good way not to get any answers
second your mods seem rather good, but your doing a lot of "noob" thing's that you don't need to like the stage 8 bolts, don't need em. The LT4 knock module, free way of doing that. Borla exhaust the most EXPENSIVE CUTOUT ever.. Don't need them man
