Might be a long shot. But maybe get the ignition module tested. They tend to get heated up beings they are right on the cylinder head.

Agreed. I would start with the ICM testing. It sounds like that is heating up after a bit of driving.

Ignition module is a good chance. There is a TSB on the EGR valve for cars in the VIN range as this one. It says it can corrode internally and cause stalling and crank but fail to start.

Codes are 100 MAF, 300 Miss fire, 400 EGR

Check the actual distributor not just the cap. I went up a hill doin about 75 in 2nd in my 97 z28 and it shut off and died like u said. turned out the distributor was busted in peices, its back mounted behind the engine and hard to get to, if it is then make sure one of the pistons is blowin the plug and off, when mine went it through the timing off everything for some reason...

I have bought a dozen or so parts over time and replaced them to see if it would solve my problems. They were all pretty cheap and i saved the old one incase something else goes bad i can swap to see if it fixes the problems. I throw away the parts that were bad and now it easy to eliminate a certain part. ICM would be one of the cheaper parts and its a good chance it bad.
