When folks comment on my 110mph speedo I just shrug and say the car must not be fast then. Then I ask if they want to race for $200.
What's real funny is an older gal at work thinks the highest number on the speedometer is how fast the car will actually go so her Neon goes 120mph and mine will only go 110mph

Yes, the stock computer program shuts off the injectors at ~106mph. The Hypertech programmer took care of that. Whats odd is the car had the Goodyear GS-Cs on it when I bought it but I guess a tire shop talked a previous owner into upgrading the tires to the z-rated Goodyears.

I'm not really sure EXACTLY what my car is now. My car came WITHOUT the Z rated tires BUT it still has a 150 mph speedometer. I know it's all stock since it only has about 9300 miles on it and have the full build sheet. I've got the Z rated F-1 17" tires and 10 spokes (from an '02 SS) but haven't had a chance to REALLY see if it is top speed limited.
No big deal though. I've got a Hypertech Programmer to knock the top limit off if it is in the ECM
