build question

I am planning on building my lt1 and i have been looking at some prices. I have been putting a lot of thought into it and i need some reccomendations. I am thinking about buying a crate short block from gm since they have a three year warranty. My question is how much horsepower do you think is possible with some head work and a factory block from gm. I am getting a loan for this but i still dont really want to spend an outrageous amount. I know that this costs money and i am willing to pay it i just want some reccomendations. Is it possible to reach 400-450 hp? i dont know please help me.

On a stock what block...LT1? Good heads/cam with supporting mods on a stock lt1 block can reach 450 hp easy.

maybe with a solid roller and a stroker

just rebuild your motor and have the heads and cam done by a reputable company like LE or AI
