Bummer, but maybe a good thing?

Bummer:
while taking my mechanic for a ride in my car the other day, he determined that I have a misfire on my passenger side as it pops every once in a while. He said a rocker might be on too tight or too loose, or the spark plug I dropped might be damaged.

The good thing:
I thought the car seemed a little slower than I expected it to be so maybe once the misfire is fixed it will pick up a lil bit.

What do you guys think?

I am no mechanic but have him check/replace your plug wires! I would start with the simpler things first.
