Burnt PCM

Re: Burnt PCM
I am not totally sure, but unless your pcm is connected to you hearers anyway(which I doubt), then I'd think so. If anything, you might have messed up your starter. Give us more diagnosis.

Re: Burnt PCM
The reason I said that is because I took my car to have it looked at and the guy said when he tried to hook up his laptop to it it was doing weird things. I had it scanned at autozone last week and it brought up an EGR malfunction code so I thought I'd get the EGR ! instead of buying one. After he worked on my car with the laptop he said there's no way the EGR could make it hard for my car start. So I kept the EGR in the PCM. He said the PCM was doing weird things, also he said it showed bad 02 and EGR readings. It takes a few tries to start the car and if you do try as soon as you turn back the key it gives a little stumble as if it wants to but it's flooded or something.

Re: Burnt PCM
It sounds to me your pcm is working fine. There is a slim chance it isn't, as I've heard of pcm's failing, but I also hear it is very rare. If you are getting bad readings on your o2's, then that is a possible culprit.
Do you still have the scanned file? If so, post in the computer diagnostics section to see if anyone will read your file, there should be some better help for diagnosing your problem in there.

Re: Burnt PCM
If you truly have an EGR problem (ex. stuck open), your car could be hard to start. Having the code disabled in the PCM won't do a thing to fix it.
