C.a.r.b # For Headers In Ct./ma.
I spoke with jet hot today. I was about to order mac headers but they have no c.a.r.b. #. At this time i live in ct. but plan on building a new home in ma. in a few years. I need to keep this car emission legal in both states. Will i have any problems with no c.a.r.b. #. Also jet hot said hooker shorty headers do have c.a.r.b. # and their the same price. Which one should i go with????
I hear a lot of good things about mac headers.

You're not going to get a CARB # with ANY long tube headers for the simple fact that they relocate the catalytic convertors away from the stock locations. Headers with CARB #'s that stay legal and are known to be good:
Arizona Speed and Marine (and RK sport)
SLP
MAC
Those are the ones I can think of right off hand, although I'm not 100% positive that they all have the CARB #.

As far as I know neither AS&M or Macs have a CARB number. SLPs do, so do Hooker shorties and Edelbrocks. SLPs are available with 1 3/4" primaries and will make the most power.

Ct. has had a lot of problems with their testing, so much they stopped it. mine sticker ran out last march and i'm still waiting to find out when i need to take it in. I'm not sure how strick it will be. I think i'll order the mac's.
