Which CAI?

Looking to purchase CAI for by 1995 B4C Camaro.

It's a B4C, not Z28, so be careful before you answer. Thanks!

How do I know if car is OBDI or OBDII?

Which brand is best to buy - easy to install, best fit, best looking, etc.? No drilling/cutting whatsoever desired.

Any help appreciated.

wonder if I have traction control...

I looked at the K&N site, is traction control a "fit" issue?

Your car is OBD-I. The switch to II wasn't made until '96.

B4C = Special Police Cruiser Package

Someone told me it was OBDII since it has dual exhaust, dual cats, and was supposed to be equipped same as 1995 California emission vehicles.

Just want to make sure. How can you tell by looking?

Ahh I didn't think about the California thing...dual cats may indicate OBD-II, I'm not sure though.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in.

i would go for the LPE CAI. this is what i have, and it took me a total of 30 minutes to install in the T/A. generally all of the CAI's are going to be the same performance wise. slp, moroso,lpe,k&nfipk.......... i paid 159 on the ligenfelter website and that is the cheapest i have seen a new cai go for. my vote goes for the LPE

B4C Package (for 1993)

Q: What is this B4C "Police" package I keep hearing about?

A: According to "The Genuine Camaro White Book" by Michael Antonick, on a 93
Camaro, the B4C "special service" option included:

LT1 engine
6 speed manual transmission
3.23:1 ratio limited slip rear axle
Single exhaust and converter with dual tail pipes
16 inch aluminum wheels
P245/50ZR16 blackwalls
4 wheels disc brakes
124 amp alternator (140 amp for '94 and on)
150 mph speedometer
Air conditioning
525cca battery
Engine oil cooler
Performance suspension

The term "performance suspension" refers to the suspension which normally
comes on a Z28, as opposed to the suspension which comes on the base non-Z28
Camaro or on the 1LE Z28. One other enticing thing is the package is
cheaper than the regular Z28 options in order to give law enforcement and
local goverment a break. Good luck trying to order one though. First, you
have to find a dealer who will do a fleet order for you. The B4C is a
"special services package" that is only orderable under a fleet number. It
has no "stated" restrictions in the order book, but currently Chevy will not
build one for a non-police department. And that means providing documention
indicating delivery to a police station.

Does limited slip rear axle affect...

Does limited slip rear axle affect decsion as to which CAI to buy?

I notice the K&N for sale at their website states "w/o traction control".

Anyone know for sure?
