Cam degree results...I have 3 degrees above spec on the cam card...

I have another friend that ran a machine shop for 20 years or so, he has the big *** super expensive 24" degree wheel and he is going to degree it on Saturday. After 2 weeks or so I finally reached him this afternoon. The engine builder used the the 16" I think.
I am certain that the results will be the same but as I have said before I want this engine as close to perfect from top to bottom. So right now I am prepared to run it.
Just for discussion sake why is it that the two methods gave different results?

You have to get all the variables you can under control. Degreeing the cam in is one of them. That is why I bought the big Moroso degree wheel to get the ICL as close as posible. You can get that sucker down to a 1/4 degree or more with a good eye.
