The Eagle H beams with capscrews will clear no problem on a 6" rod. I have used these on numerous instances with much larger cams and still had ample clearance. I can only vouch for the 6" eagle's and not the 5.7 rod or the Scat and other look alikes. The whole purpose of degreeing the cam is to check your clearances in the manner you plan to run the engine. (i.e, you find 50thou clearance during assembly and later move the cam 4*, the clearance could be lesser or greater depending on the grind of the cam.)
