Hey guys, I am new to the LT1 game and wanted to get your opinions. I have a 95 Z28 with a stock converter and 3.23 rear that I am in the process of rebuilding. The motor will be freshened and I am adding new lifters, pushrods, 1.6 rollers and springs. The block crank and heads are off to the machine shop today so I need to order a cam. I am trying to decide between the following grinds. Only other mods will be cold air intake and muffler. Thanks! Derek
"Cadillac Cam" unknown lift 213/218 duration
Crane 227 210/224 duration .511/.552 with 1.6 rockers
LPE74211 211/219 duration .530/.560 (with 1.6 rockers) 112 CL

Unless you know if one has much HP over the other, I would go with the one that cost you the least amount. I believe there almost pretty much the same HP wise. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Edit, voted for the Crane.

I have the 227 and it's exactly what need for my setup. I'm sure the LPE cam is probably
about the same as is the TPIS ZZ9 and the GM 845. Here is the specs for all of the above:
CAM NO. > Duration | Lift (1.6) | LSA
Crane 104227 > 210/224 | 511/553 | 112
LPE 74216 > 213/219 | 493/502 | 112
TPIS ZZ9 > 212/226 | 515/555 | 112
GM 845 > 214/224 | 521/543 | 112
I'm not sure if the LPE 211/219 cam you are referring to is the same one I'm showing
since the above data is from a spreadsheet I put together in 2003. I went with
the Crane 104227 based on responses from others, plus I like Crane products in
general. My second choice would have been the GM 845.
