Thread Exerpt....
2. AVOID "OVERLOAD": Increased load always means reduced service life. Want 50% more thrust from a jet engine? Ask Rolls Royce or G.E. and they'll tell you to expect about ¼th the service life between overhauls. Similarly, employing drag race valve springs in the 900, 1000 to 1100 lb. Range will reduce the life of your roller bearings between rebuilds much the same as will employing high-impact roller cam profiles.
Point highlighted for a reason....
Some of the TK's are good lobes for some situations but this needs to be taken into account as well.

I can guess who that is.... depending on the RPM and application that might not be to far off.

ohh come onnn! 110 lsa?? I never heard anyone use nitrous with 110 lsa camshaft..(I know it should be at least 114 lsa to use nitrous shot) Also There is something wrong 555/533.. Why exhaust lift is smaller than intake's?

I undertand the irony in the previous post. But to be sure no one gets confused, somewhere the idea has gotten started that a "nitrous cam" needs a big LSA. This is not the case.

CANTONRACER, having built a few NA strokers I would recommend 2 things to you. First, dont listen to what the "cam help" line guys say at Comp......I am not convinced that most of them know what they are talking about based on my experience and others.
Second, make life easy and call Cam Motions for a cam. They are very, very good and the majority of fast LT1 cars run their grinds. I have had nothing but great results with their cams in my engines. At this level, dont chance a pig engine by going with an "unknown" cam based on the suggestion of those who HAVE NOT built LT1 motors like this.

110 can work very well on nitrous, and often does. It's all about the other stuff that determines whether it's right for you. For example, a cylinder head with a poor intake/exhaust flow ratio might like a wider lsa but that's something to get across with a reputable cam/valvetrain designer. Find someone you can trust and let them make a decision... just like you would if you had cancer and were looking for the best doctor. By all means, get a 2nd or 10th opinion, but leave in the hands of the experts.

Re: Cam selection on my 396"...what my local engine guy told me...
I just built my whole engine at thunderracing..Its an assembly of top notch quality parts (oliver, lunati, diamond). I spent lots of $$$$ and off course want everything perfect.. Paul from Thunder is the guy who is interested with everything about assembly of engine.. I use 210cc AFR competition Heads (with 2.08 intake 1.60 exhaust valves) Valvetrain is for a solid roller cam ,I will change it for a hydrolic Roller cam.. And yesterday he said his cam experts would suggest that specs of cam (236/248 555/533 110lsa) I don't know should I trust his cam experts. I trust Paul ,but don't know his cam experts.
(sorry for the spelling and thanks for all of your posts)

Re: Cam selection on my 396"...what my local engine guy told me...
I called Cam Motions...told them what my combo is, etc.
The cam that Cam Motions recommended:
@.050" 259/264, lob sep 108, center line 104, lift .683/.670, very aggressive lobes
Spring pressures of 220/550.
Basically the same cam.
I just had my local guy order it for me with a .900" small base circle. Like I said, I will try it for a season and see if I like it.
Thanks for the input guys.

Yeah I can't say that enough.
It's not a function of LSA EVER!!!!!!!!!

Being "not a daily driver in any regard" = drive it once in awhile on the street, primarily race it at the track type of car.
