Can I use a Spec Stage II clutch with a turned flywheel?
Ihave heard that you can't use a spec clutch with a flywheel that you have had turned before.
I have had mine done atleast twice. (it's a used flywheel)
Something about them being too thin. Can anyone point me in the right direction on whether or not i need to get a new flywheel.
Thanks
Shawn

It is not recomended to use a recut flywheel acording to Spec. Also, if it was me. I would either go out and get a STOCK oem flywheel, or spend the extra cash and get a billet one. Dont want that stage 2 wearing out, or grabing high on you, that would suck.

When I ordered my clutch from star they said that a resurfaced flywheel is fine for stage 1-3.
Fyi though, I hate my star clutch it chattered HORRIBLY for the first 1500miles. Now I have about 2100 on it and it is better, but still not good. It is not bad enough that I am going to go through the trouble of pulling my gearbox out again to change it, but I am very disappointed in the driveability of their STAGE 1 clutch. Don't get me wrong it holds fine, but I will never use a star clutch again, imo they are just as bad as centerforce.
