Can a stock LT4 SS hit 110mph stock?
I know Motor Trend ran a13.2@109mph in a '97 SS LT4. I can't go by that though. Has anyone here heard of a stock LT4 car running 110mph in the quarter?

That question could be debated for quite awhile, but I'm going to go ahead and say yes. Weather, driver, track conditions, etc., will all play a part in the car's performance.

I've seen a few go 108, haven't seen 110. Not saying it can't happen though... a great driver can make a car perform better than it's "supposed" to. I personally saw a 96 Z28 M6 go 13.56 at 102 BONE STOCK at darlington (stock everything, tires too). But the guy can drive very well, and drove that car hard to get it (gas pedal never came off the floor after launch).
Evan Smith might be able to get 110 out of an LT4, but very few can drive that well.

It took 330 rwhp for my full weight M6 3.73 geared 94 to hit 110mph in some DAMN good 50 deg air at sea level. I dont see a Stock LT4 doing it.
Evan may drive good, but he cant put more horsepower in the car....the car will MPH pretty much the same with an average driver..it will E.T. better with a hot shoe.

i was always told even on the old SLP board that the LT4 SS's and firehawks were waayyy under rated at 330, and yes some of the lt4 SS's do dyno higher stock than a LS1.

I personally doubt it. I see in those mags so claims I have never seen in person--which by no means doesn't mean they can't, since just about anything is possible, maybe it can happen, but like i first said I DOUBT it that mph is high.
Are we talking bone stock or a few tweeks here and there??
