I dont see how they are WAY underrated, stock they (on average) dyno around 280 ish to the wheels with a six speed..which puts it at 330 flywheel, almost dead on.

I have never seen or heard of a LT4 car totally showroom stock dynoing over 300 to the wheels...I on the other hand HAVE seen with my own eyes a 2000 SS six speed car dyno 308 to the wheels SHOWROOM STOCK with only 15k miles. The same car ran 12.80@110 MPH with the addition of a whisper lid(It was never re-dynoed with the lid) but I am guessing 315 to the wheels with the lid. This guy CAN drive, he ran the 12.80 on Eagle F1's with a 1.80 60 ft. In some super good negative DA weather.

So I say it would take at least that much power to go 110 MPH, he only did it once that day..all the other passes were 109 mph.

It took 324 RWHP for my 94 six speed (3700lbs raceweight) to go 12.70@110, 1.89 60ft powershifting on drag radials in some VERY good air as previously stated in this post.

I dont see a STOCK LT4 Camaro doing it..in this months GMHTP a stock LT4 Firehawk ran 95 MPH...soooo....

Re: Can a stock LT4 SS hit 110mph stock?

The F-body LT4s weren't tuned right from the factory... some tuners have found the F-body LT4s have almost the exact same tune as the LT1s. I've found about 5 dynos or so on various boards that show 280-290rwhp bone stock. After a dyno tune, most were at 310rwhp with no other mods. CAI, headers, tune, and exhaust generally put them in the 340rwhp range (about where LS1s with the same mods are). But a heads/cam package on a LS1 takes it a bit farther than on a LT4 (about 30rwhp more with same displacement, and close cam specs and degree of porting... just some observations of mine).
