can you help me figure out what this problem is?

ok well when i accelerate it seems as if i hear a very slight rpm studder or bog or something. I can hear it in the exhaust. Like around 1800-2000 rpms if i look close enough i can see the rpms go like 2000 down to 1900 and back up, yet i have my foot steady on the gas.

My idea is that i might have a clogged fuel filter and its causing it to do that or a clogged injector?

Tom im going to hook up a fuel pressure guage on the valve (back of intake) and read my fp. Should be a steady 35psi right at throttle?

please let me know what it reads and if it is really low at reg throttle then i know its something with the fuel system. clogged filter, clogged injector, maybe fuel pump going out (255 walbro)

please let me know..

Randy

Lack of Fuel pressure would make it lean and run like **** the whole way up, even mroe so at red line cause the car is going to take in way more fuel at WOT at 5800RPMS than at 2000RPMs. Replace the filter anyways though. And I would run some quality injector cleaner through it such as Lucas. It cant hurt.

I would be looking elsewhere for the problem though.

Plugs? Wires? I see it says new engine. Is it possible a wire is burned though?

What kind of injectors do you have?

Also, is it possible that an O2 is on its way out? They make them start running rougher and rougher. Especially with throttle changes. But at WOT it should never act up as O2's only monitor at WOT, not adjust the fuel. How many miles are on them?

Some more details about your setup? I seen it said new engine so ... Maybe there is something else faulty causing it.

What Stall do you have? The only way it could pull the RPM's down is if it was somehow locking up? Also, I highly doubt it is from cam surge. Tell us more about your set up. What cam? Any SES light? Can you hook it up to a computer and see what some sensors are reading while its doing that? I would check the 02's for sure. Maybe check the MAP and MAF to see what your getting out of those. Make sure the Temp is reading about correctly. That can change the Air/Fuel mixture and make it stumble if its too rich/lean.
