Can you still buy the LT4 intake?

I was looking for it because a friend has a set of AFR LT4 heads for a good price. Is it still available?

Without getting into a huge debate here, edelbrock is suppose to be coming out with an LT4 intake manifold. If it is already out, I don't know, but there is a really good thread about it on ls1tech.com on the LT1/LT4 section titled "finally, edelbrock releases the LT4 intake". If you can get AFR LT4 heads, some people will tell you that you can use the LT1 intake manifold with the heads, I think it would be a pain in the ***. Just try to find an LT4 intake manifold if you get those heads. Call edelbrock and see if it's available yet. If it is, please let me know, cause I would like to get an LT4 intake manifold.

$475 is a lot cheaper than what some people are paying to pick up an old LT4 intake

I searched summit and cannot find anything about it.

This item is temporarily out of stock. The expected date it will ship is in 6 weeks, if your order is placed today.

Since no one answered the original question, LT4 intakes have been discontinued by GM.

Regarding the Edelbrock manifold, I was reading a thread at another f-body website just today where the poster said
I called Summit, and they said the manifold has stopped production. They said that it did not pass Edlebrocks Quality tests or something along those lines. They stated that the item has been removed from the catalog until further notice. The representative did not state when it would be available...
Truth or fiction, I don't know.

Can't use the LT4 intake with LT1 heads. LT4 heads have raised runners

Virtually none. The LT4 manifold was made to work with the LT4 heads to make additional power together. The LT4 manifold won't even bolt up to stock heads without some machine work to one or the other.

They've come down a bit from the tulip bulb prices of a year ago. One finished at $405+80 on ebay a few days ago. The last one I saw sell on this board was around $400 also.

Contac Lloyd Elliot. He can convert your Lt1 intake to mate with lt4 style heads. http://www.eportworks.com/
