Can't decide between 224/230 and 230/236...

UnTAmedLS1--your trapping 115mph in the 1/4 with this cam...WOW!!!
I do already have headers and a good exaust. I'm an M6 with 3.42's out back and am keeping those. I am keeping the revs down to prolong the life of the bottom end. The car has 52K miles on it and I am somewhat afraid of spinning a bearing revving to 6500rpms. I'm so torn between these 2 cams......

Well after reading thru a thousand posts, calling Comp Cams and CMotorsports I decided on the 224/230/112 (N224XL set) with a .536/.544 lift. With what Lloyd is doing with the heads, this cam set and bolt-ons/dyno tune I am hoping for 370rwhp and mid 12's on street tires. Hopefully I will have results soon!!!!

Yes, I like to see people exploring other lt1 cams than the lt4 hot and 305 comp! I've sold a few and the customers love em. All of the new comp cam grinds for the lt1 ROCK. Food for thought, if some one is runing long tubes and good heads and exhaust, I've sold the 224/224-.525/.525 110ls 280 mag cam and it is brutal!!

Thanx, Brad. I work at seco performance in Alabama. My main purpose I try to accomplish is 1 on 1 sales. I realy rely on customer feed back on parts, I have built 9 camaros varying in generation and can only go by my personal experiences and by customers experiences. Thats why I joined up on this web site.

how in the world do you pass with that kind of cam in that state? I bet the cops must wonder the same thing when your idling next to them with a large grin on your face
I would never suggest bribing a smog technician. That would be illegal.

LOL Brad do you know how many miles I have? 94000 and I spipn the stock bottom to 6400. You need windows media player to play the video and i think it has to be version but if you right click the link and click save target as that will work too.

There's a board member somewhere on here that did a home port job on his heads and the 224/230, and he posted a dyno graph showing 274 at the rear and a NICE fat torque curve.
I think this setup (I know it's not a N20 cam) and a 125 shot of juice will wake up the car Maybe next year....after a clutch/12 bolt/fuel pump/injectors
