Canton Pan & Windage Trays???

Was talking to a buddy of mine and he was saying that it's not necissary to even run a windage tray with a baffeled pan like a canton pan, cause it's already built in.. Is this true? I asked him what if I left the tray in if it would matter and he said it more than likely won't even fit..

NO it's not a stock windage tray either

Already talked to JordonMusser like I should have done in the first place He informed me that the canton pan DOES have a windage tray built in and that the aftermarket one's aren't necissary and/or more than likely won't even fit...

I keep forgetting that the only questions that people can answer in LT1 Tech are "what's the best exhaust and what kinda intake should I get"

No wonder where all the FAST 14 sec f-body's I always see at the track come from

Well I've just spent 3 hours jacking up the motor and dropping the K member ...I get the canton (242t) pan finally up under the block and guess what ...the pan won't clear the Gm windage tray ...arghhhhhhhh. So I guess you're right ...no Gm windage tray. I'm going back out to remove it.
Later.

Yup, it's funny how NO ONE ELSE knows these things

Anyways, how's that pan look?? I know I heard that they had all kinds of problems back in the day but I guess canton has revised it or some $hit... What's the 411 on that thing?
