Angry Car bogging out at cruising speed

Hey guys. Since I bought the car, it has had this problem of not wanting to accelerate under a little acceleration at higher speeds and sometimes cruising speeds. It is a little hard to explain so I will do my best. Here is an example. I will be driving on the highway around 55 mph. Wanting to pass another car, I will accelerate slightly to get ahead of them and the car will shake and bog and not go anywhere. It will correct itself after about 5 seconds or if i step on it some more until it drops a gear(auto trans). This does not happen at higher speeds(over 65 mph) or under acceleration from a stop. Seems to happen when i accelerate the car without dropping a gear. I have no idea what it could be. New air filter, new plugs and wires, new air inlet elbow, cleaned the Maf, cleaned the throttle body. It isn't showing any codes or lights. The car does have an intermediate rough idle sometimes(usually when warm). I tried finding the problem with some help of some people from my previous post but to no avail. This is the beigest annoyance though so any help or steps to diagnose it would be greatly appreciated.
