car wont start

car wont start

i just replaced the optispark about 3 or 4 weeks ago and it has been running fine .i was heading home last night and when i stoped at a light it shut off on me . so i start it back up and drive home . i go to start it today and it wont start . its getting spark from the coil and it is getting spark to the plugs . its getting fuel to the rail and you can smell it . i even replaced the coil just because . anyone have any ideas on this

Could be the ICM (the heatsink looking thing behind the coil, its about 2 inchs long...)

or maybe the opti took another crap..

Did you check for codes?

Did you clear the previous codes from before?

When is the last time you replaced the plugs? They could be fowled. Might want to try starting the car up and pumping the gas a little to get it running. What psi is your fuel pressure at? You might be getting fuel but not enough. Let us know if this works.

My advice however is to get a fuel pressure gauge, just cause you can smell fuel doesn;t mean that your getting the right amount

i have a fuel pressure gauge that how i know its getting fuel it 38psi.it wont start at all . when my opti went bad i could tap on it and it would start up . it wont do that now . thanks for the help. is there any way to check the icm .

that pressure is a touch low, does it hold that pressure when you let it sit or doeas it bleed down?
