car wont start, it just clicks
i drove it today it ran fine just had a little trouble starting. Then I get in it about 2 hrs later and all it does is click. So i put a new battery in it and it still wont start. Is it the starter? i also haven trouble with the clutch. I dont think that would have anything to do with it. Any comments will help. Thanks

so the starter was bad. I got a new one and they tested it and it worked so I install it. It still does the same thing....the starter clicks when I try and turn it over. Check the ground and it is good. So i took a screw driver and arked the starter and it spun. So I'm lost.

Bad cables can do that. A dead cell in your battery can act just like that, too. A dead cell will often test 12.4+ but under draw will drop down below 9v. You might want to have your battery tested (even if it's new). Check your battery with a VOM and have someone crank the car. If you get a major drop in voltage, I'd suspect the battery.
Also, battery cable ends need to be nice and clean. Get a wire brush out and clean the terminals. After you're done you can neutralize any acid on the terminals by using baking soda and a bit of water. Mix up a paste and let it stay on there for about ten minutes. Rinse off the paste and you're good.
Two last things, the acid often damages the cables from inside the wire coating. If you've had corrosion problems in the past, check your cables. Also, if you put a new battery in you're supposed to wire brush the new posts. They put a corrosion inhibitor on the terminals at the factory and you should wire brush that inhibitor off before you reconnect your cables.

You tested the old one and it was bad, I assume. The new one tested good and does the same thing. I assume you got the starter with the solenoid and hooked it all back up correctly. Strange you found a bad part and replaced it and it still happens.

Car runs and it was a simple fix. The clutch positioning sensor right behind the clutch pedal was pulled out a little. Pushed it in and it fired right up. Thanks for all the suggestions

Lmao. That's some funny shiznitt there you said clutch problems and
Most would assume actual clutch failure and it was your clutch switch
Giving you the headache. Good job finding it always a good feeling
