my roomates car won't turn over, it was wrecked a while ago and we had tried to pull start it and it would turn over at the time so we bought a new starter for it and it still won't even make any noise.. we checked the clutch relay thing with a test light and its coming on when we turn the key, but the starter won't get a light when we are holding the clutch down/trying to start it.. what other stuff could be wrong?

We know the car won't work we just want to make sure it will turn over before going on to other stuff.. thanks
