that cam is to big for stock heads in my opinion, but some do it. you would make more power with a 306 than that cam. but the 306 wil require more rpm that the 242 248, becuase of the different lobe design. i personaly like the 230 236 better than the 306. it makes more torqe lower and only spins up to about 6200 6300 where as 6600 or so with the 306.
you know what sucks there was a person who made 412 rwhp on hte le2 but that was with ported head.
any cam you put in your car will need tuning.

Is it possible to buy the le2 cam though without getting the heads? You thing the 306 will make more power than the cam I talked about? Would you get about the same power with the 230/236 as the 306?

what about the gm 847 how does it compare to the others mentioned? And if anyone knows where I can buy a le2 cam please speak up because thats what I really would like to throw in there.

Guys, don't forget, Lloyds (Joe O.) cams are designed to compliment Lloyds heads. I'm not saying they will not perform well without head work being done, as I have no clue about that. What I'm trying to say is, if you were lucky enough to get a custom cam from Joe O. for stock heads I doubt it will not have to be replaced to get the best results when you do get a set of P&P heads. Talk to Lloyd or Bret B. and tell them what your looking for. I'm sure they can help you out.

My 354 RWHP may not sound all that impressive, but I've got 350+ from 5700-6400 RPM.

ok there is a member of this the is running le2 heads and a le1 cam with jet hot lt, 58mm tb, 3,73 gears, 3200 stall, and ran 11.76, pretty fast car considering people running a 847 arent doing it. remember its not about mph its about who gets there first
not trying to start a pissing just observation, and on a side note none of the cams that are mentioned in this thread are bad cams, im just saying that ive never seen nor talk to a person that doesnt like joes cam. and from reading the board, they put down good numbers.
and by the way i know the specs of the le grind cams, and the le1 is a pretty small cam that will put the 847 and others away. but application has alot to do with it. i mean if you want to run stock heads the 847 is good so is the 306 and the 230 236, but i havent seen these cams at 11.76 on just allitle bolt ons. and by the way the le1 pulls to 2000 to 6100.
and they are some of the flatest hp curves ive ever seen. the one i seen jump from 2000 to 3000 and had 376 hp at 3000 anf at 5900 it had 384, you have to agree that flat.
but as stated above they are designed for the heads.
