I have several other friends that ran a similar combination and all had the same torque curve. Your only recourse is to blame the dyno. I also ran this combination at other dynos with the same basic curve.

There's alot more to a cam than just duration, yeah the duration is similar to a hot cam, 218/224 vs 218/228...so would a 218/220 still be basically the same cam? The higher exhaust duration will help with non-ported heads. The lift a quit different, 525/.525 vs .570/.565 and 112 vs 113lsa, not to mention the lobe ramp rates on the XFI cams are steeper.
Both are going to make alot of torque lower in the rpm range and torque is what accellerates you and from the dyno chart of the Hot cam, it peaks at 4400rpm for torque.
I've seen a 107lsa cam on the card actually have more overlap than some 112lsa cams due to the ramp rates, so thats something to consider.
For a daily driver, having torque down low where you can use it on the street daily is more important for me..both have torque down low, but will the XFI have more at the same rpms is really the question.
Idle needs to pull good vacuum as well for breaking and holding while stopped.
BTW, I have LE2 LT1 heads and I also have a set of stock LT4 heads and fully LE ported intake. so its not a stock application I'm using this on.
