chambered true duals?

im going to have mine done in a week or two...........using chambered mufflers from http://www.sweet-thunder.com
not really sure what lenght to use though, probably the shortest one 18" stainless

i have jethot longtubes..........so it will go to an Xpipe, then the mufflers, then dumps.

im pretty sure it will..........look at this picture and you can see, those mufflers are about 12-14" im guessing...........so there seems to be room for 18" in the same location.
ill take pics when mine is done.

anyone care to explain exactly how chambered mufflers work? My iroc had true duals with chambered mufflers when i bought it and i dont completly understand how the mufflers work. All i know is my car is LOUD and sounds awesome.

2.5" diameter systems seem to be the most popular on Z-28's.

Yes there is a hp and torque gain through true duals rather than any other cat-back. It simply 'opens' up your exhaust so that there is less restriction, therefore producing more torque and hp in general.
Having headers causes a small loss in torque, but it is compensated...

it doesnt do much on a stock motor
but on a heads/cam or stroker, it can be an improvement.

i have the same idea.
^concepts.. the first one would work out better because its nearly impossible to route pipes over the drivers side of the axle. The mufflers you see will be 18" sweet thunder chambered.
