Check Engine light*Scanned for Codes*

Ok so as i turned my car on the check engine light started to flash. Pop the hood and i realize my spark plug wire wasnt on one of the plugs. I put it back on and the light stopped flashing. But the light is still there and when i scanned for codes, it said no communication? What does this mean??
