Check out my true duals!!

Click in my sig to see the pics of my true duals that i just got on...just dont ask me how they sound because i havent gotten my new pushrods in yet and didn't have time to put the stockers back in and start it up.

The system consists of hooker lts, hedmen collector extentions(had to be lengthened on one side), summit chambered mufflers similar to the gmmg ones, and turndowns left over from my sisters flowmaster exhaust system.

Its kinda low and i think im gona put an h pipe in there somewhere, but i may just redo it when i decide to go clear out the back. This is just a way to quiet the car down for now.

Once i get my pushrods ill let you guys know how it sound...i think its gona sound sweet, the mufflers sounded good when the were on my 396bbc buick skylark(sold).

thanks for your input!!

Looks good. Let us know how it sounds once you get in running; I am tired of getting headaches every time I drive the car (I have true duals with 18" bullet mufflers), and I have been looking at those mufflers as possible replacements.

how much trouble did you have taking the engine from the top.. i've heard you have to drop the subfame and go underneath

Re: Check out my true duals!!

Taking the engine out from the top wasnt bad, but i think that it is easier to go in from the bottom. Lining up the engine and transmition and the headers was the hardest part.

Im not sure if these will be much quieter than the bullets ....they sure were loud on my 396 bbc, but i have never heard bullets in person just sound clips.

Looks good.
I ran purple horny header mufflers right off my Hooker LTs, its not as loud as you would think with a straight through muffler and as short as they are (end just behind the front seat with turndowns)

Looks like its going to be loud.
Your car looks like mine, no t-tops, cloth.
My T/A is blue though.

Re: Check out my true duals!!

i just used the adapter kit for a 3rg gen wheel. Unhook the cars power and just take off the wheel like a normal one. you also need to get rid off the thing that hooks up you electric controls if you have them on your old wheel. as for the airbag light there is a wire to cut somewhere i think it is behind the glove box and it is a thick brown wire...i havent done it yet to i would as someone else to be sure.

thanks for the compliments guys!!
