Checking for bad lifters... manifold off.

Fixing my intake oil leak.... for the 2nd time... I was wondering if theres a way to check for a bad lifter with the manifold off...and the valve covers on. I have no real complaints... my ticking issues seemed to have dissapeared after the Promag install.... but I got my promags set so nicely that they are barely noticeable. I don't want to fool with them if I don't have too.... but I'm just trying to be preventive with 80K on the clock.
