Clack Clack Clack sound

I've had the hot cam installed for about two weeks. Today i notice a clack clack clack clack sound coming from my engine. I can't really tell which valve cover its coming from. Is this an indication of a loose rocker arm? I'm 100% positive i did it right the first time. Could one have come loose. This started after I was running with lower oil pressure than normal b/c of the oil I used. I barely ran with the lower oil pressure before i swapped out the oil. Please help, as i need to fix this tomorrow morning.
Thanks

Post a link to your rod knock video! That will tell him for sure if that is what it is.

Had you said 'click,' i'd say rocker arm.

Since you said 'clack'....... well.........

Pull the valve cover. Hell it only takes 1 minute (or less) for the drivers side.

Clack2 is my favorite.

It has that classic tone and rhythm.......and you can dance to it.

I wish I had taken some sound bytes of mine. I had a few classic squeaks with it, too.

Spun rod bearing means what...rebuild time? It doesn't quite sound like that...not as loud or constant like that.

For me, spun rod bearing meant new:

Crank
pistons
rods
camshaft
lifters
oil pump

I think that's about it.

Then I went overboard and have a badarse 383 "in the works".

I'm starting to think it is the bearing. Its not coming directly from the valve covers, more like the area of the intake manifold. I'll pull the valve covers tomorrow and check my rockers. I really, really cant afford a rebuild.

In person, it sounded like marbles bouncing around in my intake...

If it is just a bearing and nothing else, can it be fixed with the engine in the car, or does it need to be pulled?

If it is a bearing, you are looking at a total tear down. Chances are, other bearings are not far behind and it usually causes some crank damage. I had to replace my crank.
