Cleaning your LT1

I've washed my engine at the self serve car wash before and have had no issues with the Opti (mine is vented and has 108k miles on the original).
If you do decide to wash the engine, just be sure not to spray directly on the Opti or water pump area.
Good luck!

As long as you stand back a little when you spray and not spray with force directly on anything (especially the opti) you should be ok. I've had mine to the car wash once since I've had it (been a week) and my mechanic (who is also a friend of mine) just said don't spray up close and don't hit the ignition directly and you should be ok.
