clunking noise

clunking noise

When ever i come to a slow stop i get a clunking sound in the rear,how can i tell if it's the trans or the diff (A4)

It's the rear end.Need to change the fluid with a good 80-90 weight oil,but buy the GM rear diff additive(about $7.00 or so).

Reajusted rearend at gm last week new bearings oil and two additives
