Clutch won't disengage!!
I was driving my car today and when I went to stop I noticed the clutch didin't disengage fully. When the car was stopped with the clutch pedal down I couldn't shift into any gear unless the car was shut off.
It hasn't had any problems before. Any ideas?? ( I don't know tranny's)

If the clutch wouldnt engage you mean its slipping, or do you mean you press on the pedal and you cant get it in gear. If the clutch didnt disengage when you pressed it to stop, it would either slip real bad and you would smell this or it would stall the car. If its not engaging and slipping when you go to take off, it sounds like a master or slave cylinder issue. Its sounds to me like your master cylinder is failing to fully disengage the clutch and causing the syncros to not syncronize anything. But i am by no means a clutch or trans expert.

Pull the slave unit off the tranny and look into where the dog bone sits inside on the piston. If any moisture is in there then the seals have took a crap and its time for a new Master/slave combo.
The only reason I know this is my slave took a dump on me as soon as I installed a new SLP PP/ Mcleod single.
Try this also: while the slave is disconnected take off the resivor cap and push the dog bone into the slave a few times. This will bleed the system of any air and you can tell since the level of fluid will drop inside the resivor. If you have any air in the system its more than likley the salve unit leaking fluid and sucking in air.

With the clutch pedal fully depressed the car still rolls slightly. I have to turn the car off to shift gears and once the car starts it starts rolling. Any ideas?
Thanks, CanadianZ

is the clutch slipping? i would bet that the slave and master cylinder need replaced. some people also had problems with a spring coming out of place or even breaking causing the clutch not to work properly.
