pretty much my thoughts. it will be a good race. On the street though, races can vary soo much. somebody gets an early jump, tirespin, etc. let us know how it goes.

True but I dont think any SVO cobras even came with 30lbs injectors. FYI theyre svt now and both SVT and SVO make tons of stuff other than cobra's etc. Those Ford injectors are the reason his car is quick

That's true. Anything can happen on the streets.

Re: Cobra want to race

plus with the LT1 being a 6spd, tire spin is highly likely, but still id take him from a dig, you get a SC car on a roll and they are hard to pull! ie, I was running 12.10'a all day in the 1/4 and my buddy in his lighting was running 13.2's the same night. On the way home we went from a 60mph roll and neither of us gained or pulled the other, even with a second difference between our cars at the track just a hour before.

i like that answer. So that'd be the same thing as me picking the packers every year for winning the nfc north. that never used to be a problem....
as far as my injectors...they are good injectors and at a good price. i don't have anything major against fords or mustangs...i just dont buy or drive them. I'd be more than happy to buy more ford injectors and a 9" for my car.

Re: Cobra want to race

yea but a s/c 03 cobra with a run from a dig and stock suspension...it doesnt matter what kinda power hes making they have a bad problem with wheel hop in 1st gear if they go from anything under 35...the cobra in 1st will wheel hop and the camaro shouod get a car or so...most smarter cobra owners from what ive heard know to shift at around 4500 into second to beat this problem or get suspension...

The Cobra is heavier by around 200 pounds, not lighter. The 03-04s were a little on the overweight side being somewhere around 3600-3700 lbs, I forget exactly.

I really don't see how the LE2 LT1 in an Fbody w/ all the supporting mods could lose vs a stock 03-04 Cobra if it's in tune and driven decently. It should have equal or more likely a decent bit more power and a weight advantage...

Re: Cobra want to race

Im surprised the discussion made it this far. The LE2 puts more HP to the rear tires than the "supercharged" cobra does to its flywheel. I have a few vids of stock supercharged cobras losing to H/C LT1s on the highway, what do you expect with a 50HP disadvantage?

The highway doesnt mean alot. My old 500rwhp setup would lose to C5's on the highway but not because my car was slow, it was geared and setup for the 1/4.
