Is this common with Pacesetter Longtubes?

This is a pic into one of the primaries of my brand new Pacesetter LTs. It's like this on several of the primaries. These are very pronounced bumps, they are somewhat sharp too. Is this common, or is this a defect which constitutes returning them? I don't know enough to determine if this will hinder performance at all, although I'd think it would cause some turbulence in the airflow since it's immediately after the exhaust port, but I'm no expert. My first thought is to exchange them for a new set, but if this is normal for Pacesetter headers I don't want to trouble the vendor only to receive another set that has the same thing. Any thoughts?

Did you pay a reduced price for these poor workmanship headers?

I bought them from a reputable online vendor. They did have the best price I've seen, but there was nothing to indicate that I was buying anything B-stock. I plan on contacting the vendor and exchanging them if this is not a common occurrence on Pacesetter headers. I've never seen this on headers before, but I've never bought anything Pacesetter before and I know they're commonly regarded as a "value" brand so I was half-expecting reduced quality compared to say Hooker LTs.

Its slag from the welds. It would only take a few minutes to remove with a small chisel and hammer, although it should have been done at the factory. I have Pacesetter long tubes and dont recall that being on mine. Oh, and be sure all the loose slag has been emptied out of the headers before installing.

all that is is a little weld splater. The welds look real nice though. Should not affect performance.

Agreed. They will knock loose with a small chisel and a hammer.
