Concern

Just installed 1.6 scorpions no rocker noise at idle but while taking it on a test drive I stabbed the gas and heard a pop noise and felt it in the floor. That happened 2 more times. I didnt even get down the road, turned around and on the way back tried to get it to do it again and nothing. Went on the test drive (getting on it like 3/4 throttle or so) and nothing. I did lose a socket in the engine compartment a few days earlier lol. Any ideas?

Another ? Is it normal to hear the rockers while accelerating?

Vehicle is 94 impala

SA or NSA? You sure you adjusted them correctly?

Re: Concern

I'm not sure why you felt something in the floor(unless you hit something or the exhaust is contacting the floor). I have NSA Pro Mags and they sound like a bunch of sewing machines. From what I understand, SA are not as noisy. Hopefully, someone will chime in who has SA 1.6 rockers.

Re: Concern

The only thing I can think of is a backfire in the exhaust? Possible?
