Coolant Fan Sensor on '95 LT1

I have been driving my 1995 Z28 lately and when I sit in traffic for 2 minutes the car begins to run warm. I sits above the 4th line on the temperature gauge and I have to throw the heat on all the time to cool the motor off. The fan will not come on at all and it won't come on even when I throw the a/c on. So where is the coolant fan sensor located on a 1995 LT1? I was told it was located somewhere near the throttle body/intake. Any help would be appreciated. And besides that, I do plan on changing the coolant.

The temp sensor is on the water pump's housing. But, that may not be your problem.

There is no "coolant fan sensor" as such. There is a temp sensor in the water pump that tells the PCM what the engine temperature is, but the PCM is what tells the fans to come on. Since your fans don't come on with the a/c, you probably have some other issue(s). I would scan it for trouble codes to start with.

So what do you actually think the problem is... I have 74K on the motor and car. What are the possibilities? I don't have any lights coming on.

There are all kinds of things listed on my Tech Page for cooling system testing.

Ok... so I exchange fuses with the same numbers. So when I throw the a/c on, the fan should come on, right? Thanks... and that website is great! I bookmarked it.
