coolant leak/missing
hey everyone,
so I have a 96 Camaro base model. It seems that im loosing coolant somewhere but I have no idea where. I recently had a leak under my water pump but I replaced it and fixed that. So whats going on is that im loosing about a half gallon of coolant at a time. im not too sure how long it takes but a rough estimate would be between two weeks to a month. Im not leaving any puddles anywhere and I still have decent heat. The only way I know its missing is that when I check my fill bottle it only has about a centimeter of fluid on the dipstick and when I take off the radiator cap the radiator is not full (I don't know if it should be if its been sitting).
The strange thing is that it seems to be a consistent amount missing. also, my exaust isn't making white smoke.
if anyone can help me id greatly appreciate it!

Re: coolant leak/missing
Welcome to this site. By base model you mean it's a V6 (3800)? If so, this is the wrong forum and the moderator will move it to the correct place.
Have you checked the dipstick to see if the oil looks tannist in color (like a chocolate milkshake)? If it is the 3800, their intake plenum/manifolds gaskets are known to leak coolant into the oil.
