coolant reservoir??

hey guys. so after all the issues car runs great. right now its sitting on open headers. i pulled the air pump, and blocked off the line that connets to the vacuum reservoir because the reservoir itselt was shattered some how. i do have one problem left...
I noticed that where the vaccum reservoir and coolant reservoir sit, there is a plastic piece below covering them up. well when i filled the radiator back up,i pulled the plastic piece down and water fell out. when i drive the car the force pushes the water out the passenger side wheel well and down the side of the car. the car was doing this ever since the head gasket blew. i let the car sit for over 20 minutes yesterday and drove it for 5 and the temp gauge moved very little. the car is running normal, but why is the water leaking down and out wheel well??

crack in the reservoir? Under the reservior is nothing more than the plastic covering which is over a majority of the front of the car.

I would look at the reservoir as well. Could be the fitting where the overflow hose attaches to the reservoir tank also. To get the reservoir out, disconnect/remove the battery, disconnect the hose at the radiator, and remove the one bolt holding down the tank.

It could be something else as well, if you don't find an issue with the tank, take a look at the passenger side of the radiator while you have the battery/tank out.

What "reservoir" are you asking about? The AIR pump does not connect to the coolant reservoir.... in fact it doesn't connect to the HVAC vacuum reservoir either.

Hopefully you aren't sending overflow coolant somewhere else with a misconnected (or misdirected) hose...?
