Coolent draining question

Hello, I plan on changing my opti, water pump and timing chain very soon and wanted to know when I drain my coolant do I have to replace it under a certain amount of time? Is it all right to leave the radiator empty for a few days/weeks?
Also when I drain the oil out should I replace it ASAP? I don’t want anything drying up on me.

Thanks,

Justin

No rush to replace the fluids.
