Corsa vs. Borla

After some research, and despite the cost, I have decided to go w/ a stainless steel catback. Looking for some feedback on Corsa vs. Borla. Experiences w/ DIY install on either one of these kits. I've reviewed the online instructions for the Corsa. Seems easy enough. Don't know that the Borla would be all that different. Borla definitely has a price advantage. And also... do either one of these kits cause enough vibration to warrant an LT4 knock module. Maybe the Borla if you run the wide open plate? Thanks in advance.

Personally I'd suggest Corsa. I fell in love with the look of the system, along with the ones I've heard. I have it sitting here in my living room right now since there was a shipping mixup (not Corsa's fault, the dealers fault) but I have already test fitted everything. The way it mounts I feel to be much more sturdy than a lot of other systems (SLP Loudmouth, etc) as it doesn't rely solely on the stock hangers. It provides plates you slip into the frame.

Fitment sucked out of the box, it took a bit of work with vicegrips to get the pipes to slip fit over each other, but I would almost expect that with any system. 20 mins, tops. It all goes together perfectly now, and looking at the muffler itself, its a high quality piece. You can look straight through it, no baffles. I personally didn't like the Borla tips at all either, but I feel the Corsa tips I've got here are beautiful pieces. I can't wait to get the right intermediate pipe to put this beast on!

By the way, when removing the stock catback... I found it best to cut it right above the axle, that way you could slip it out of there really easily.

I put my corsa exhaust on last sat. and it was simple to put on, but it was a pain in the a$$ to get the old exhaust off! it had dynomax on there and it was all rusty. Plus i put it on without the help of a lift sort of a pain i would say because right by the converters i only had like maybe at the most two feet of clearence underneath the car! But sum of the ends of the peices of corsa's exhaust had to be worked on there really good, on sum i widened the ends a little. But i also had to make brackets for holding it on both the pass. and driver side at the muffler end, only because the old exhaust didnt use the stock ones and they got rid of them, but with stock exhaust it should work fine. And about the tips, they are really good looking, great shape to them and everything.

Get back to us and tell us which one you are or alrighty bought!
