Could I have bad valve seats?

Could I have bad valve seats?
Just finished up my head gasket project and now I’m having more problems. I have a lot of smoke coming out the exhaust at high rpms. No smoke at idle or even when I’m driving until I get over 4,000rpms. Also I have no acceleration throughout the whole rpm range and will also bog in first gear, even if I drop the clutch at 4,000 rpms. I can’t even “feather” the clutch in first, I also bog.
So I’m think I have bad valve seats or I’m having a lot of blow by. I know my compression ratio is higher because the machine shop had to shave the surface of the heads to even out a warp, but I don’t know how much yet. Could the extra compression cause a lot more blow by? Or could it have blown out the valve seats?

I think you're getting valve seats mixed with valve seals.
If you're getting blue smoke, then it is most likely the valve seals. If you suspect that compression is a problem, run a compression test.
