Could this be true?

Im using delteq ignition and i have a miss and is it possible that a older opti spark could be the cause? When a opti spark goes out does the sensor part usally go or does the cap and rotor go ?

Re: Could this be true?

a lot of the time its the cap and rotor, but just replace the whole unit because the bearing can get a lot of dirt in it and if that goes out after you replace the cap and rotor then u have to go through the whole process again.
