Couple of questions, engine/tranny cooler related

so im about ready to put my engine together and i noticed that my new 355 shortblock does not have the holes in the little oil galley plugs. do i need to drill a small hole in these or not? i am currently running the stock water pump so i assume i need the holes to help oil the drive gear.

I am also looking at getting a transmission cooler and shift kit while everything is out. does anyone have any suggestions as to what cooler to get, preferably one complete with all hoses and hardware? any opinions on the shift kit(B&M, transgo)

Ya NEED the .027 holes in the plugs if ya run the stock WP. Pack a drill bit in grease and when ya drill the holes don't shove the bit deep in the hole and push gently so the chips come to the outside.
Any of the name brand coolers will work OK
Shift kit is a toss up.
