crank hub adapter snout- help pulling it out!

I have a harmonic/steering puller, I got the 3 crank bolts to barely go in the puller as some people have to grind out the paw lookin puller.. I got the threads all the way in for strength, and I got a bar to hold the crank from turning, and i'm using a breaker bar to turn the puller, it's not budging..the paw and even the bolts are just starting to torque and bend. this 3 ear'd hub adapter is not coming off.. i'm doing an engine rebuild and the next step is the timing chain cover.. so i'm stuck at this point. thanks for any input

Actually 97superchargedz28, u may be better off getting a small length of #8 hardened rod and using a thick flat washer and hardened nut to pull the crank hub off. i used this method to push mine back on and it seemed to work pretty good. Also, i think the length of hardened rod inserted into your crank will provide a more effective way of pulling the hub off as opposed to the steering puller.

Definitely have to use a hardened rod (or something else strong) slipped in the crank bolt hole to push against. If not, you'll just tear the ears off the hub (or break the puller)

I got it off finally, thanks for the tip guys, I finally understood how the hub is build, rusty, so now I understand i'm actually pushing from inside the hole not around it, I thought the hub was just the outside circumference slipping over, but now I see its not, it hugs the crank in the back. Thanks!
I'm off to continue my 383 build
