Crank hub install depth?
On my 92 corvette, I am just finishing up the cam swap. I am installing the hub, and have achieved the torque spec of 74 ft. lbs.
First, is 74 ft. lbs. the proper torque spec?
Second, at 74 lbs the pulley does not line up with the rest of my accesories. It needs to be pulled in about another 1/8 of an inch. Do you guys just over torque it and pull it on until the accesories line up or what?
Thanks!

When I did mine on the Z I ran the hub back on with a hardend threaded rod, a plate and a nut to press the hub on with an impact gun until it bottom out. Then I removed the tool to install them installed the crank hub bolt to torque spec. Not sure what that spec was though....
Check my pics in the sig for a pic of the tool I used to run the crank hub on.

That tool is awesome. Unfortunately the differences in the body of the corvette make using it in my application impossible. What I was doing is using the old crank hub bolt with a washer to pull the hub on, then I was planning to install the new bolt to spec. When I reached spec with the old bolt, I wasn't sure if I should continue to ram it on.
Thanks.
Thanks.
